This Scenrario Price Retire's outright at the start of Preseason.
MTL has the Cap to take him on and the organizational need if Price is gone
Whether you believe Primeau is ready or not for the NHL(i do) you know a Starter is needed.

If we can get paid to bring in a good goalie who went 5 years between his Vezina's i'd gamble on him as he could tighten up her and go on 1 more really good run. Then again probably not.
Nemeth Trade is the basis for Drouin's based on the premise of Nemeth for a 2nd and a 3rd done recently

Either way if we're being Paid for it , its still a win for us even at that cost if the price is right.
We can move him out later if need be but for the next 2-3 years we'll need him without Price

I didnt see that coming

With his burden of a Contract no matter how heavy they get within the given Cap
They never make it deep into the playoffs despite Bobo doing his part

You really think that hasnt worn on him?
I mean Luongo left VAN in a fit for less
Not the only Goalie either to get tired and move on

I just thought now's the time
They lost a lot of quality options that were working cheap
They wont be able to add for a push again for a awhile after going all in last year
Logically you'd figure anyone looking to win a cup would see the writing on the wall

I know Price doesnt care about a cup unless he wins it with MTL, i dont get it but he keeps saying it
I just never ever heard Bobo show that kind of loyality

I figured jumping on board behind a top line like Slafkovsky-Suzuki-Caufield might interest him

Yes he is
Less then Monahan and lucic in production
They're both Cap Dumps

Beyond that Pacioretty had 37pts in 39 games
VGK had to give up a Prospect to give him a way
He was clearly a cap dump despite being 5x the player Drouin will ever be

Its Called a "Market" and you have to pay attention to it
