Pinto would be nice to have. I don't think that's enough to get Sandin - teams always want you to pay a pedigree tax for young 1sts. Not big on Kessel - he'd be okay situationally but they couldn't just roll him out there on a regular basis since he doesn't play defense.

Someone will probably give me heat for this, but I think Pinto is a bit overrated on this site. Don't get me wrong, I like him, but I just think his ceiling might not be as high as others do. I'd need more to move Girard.

Fair enough - there are definitely some young players better than Pinto that you could get for Girard.

Sens fans love him. And it's certainly possible I'm wrong on my assessment of him (it happens a lot actually). I do watch a fair amount college hockey though, so my opinion isn't coming from nowhere.

Change the second to a first and I think the value is closer. Like I said, I do like the player. I just think he may top out as a very good 3C, and that's not a guy I trade Girard for.
