I guess this is it

We will definitely be a better defensive team than last year, without a doubt. And contrary to popular belief, I personally thought Nedjelkovic played very well last year even with a terrible defense in front of him. With that being said, you throw Husso into the mix, an improved defense on the back end and with the two-way guys we have on offense, this team could really surprise and overachieve.

Now, when it comes to the kids; I could see all of Veleno, Zadina, Berggren, Edvinsson & Soderblom start out in GR, unless one of them really shows out in camp.

Of all the signings that were made and new blood that was brought in and/or coming up from the system, what Yzerman did this off-season has put pressure on everyone to elevate their game and compete for spots. I am most looking forward to seeing what Edvinsson & Berggren have to offer but, almost equally interested in seeing how Veleno & Zadina respond to the heightened level of competition for a spot.
