I don’t disagree, it would be nice to utilize any bit of trade capital we have in order to get better. It’s frustrating to see us get a bunch of picks between 5-10 every year and then the dudes don’t get a chance to play because we have too many the Copps and the Holls and the Lindstroms and the Fabbris

Who said anything about OTT wanting Fabbri? He will most likely be hurt I said, not added in to the trade. And Ottawa wouldn’t turn around and give the money to Debrincat, he refused to sign there lol. Anyways, my idea wasn’t specifically Chiarot and his awful cap hit, it was more of wishful thinking that we have too many guys who aren’t worth a whole lot and it’d be nice to move a couple out and give the kids the keys to the castle.

Guhle is several years younger he will be a better player at 22 than the fringe 3rd/4th line calibre player zadina was this past season. He got 14 mins a night including 2 mins per game on the pp. 22 points is terrible.</div></div>
I’m still over here waiting for Zadina to “fill the net” of all the people who passed on him in the draft… they’re still laughing 😂

Barzal to detroit
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Db1899</b></div><div>Bertuzzi played with Larkin , he’s not good.</div></div>
Honestly man, I’m with you… I’d rather they move Bert in a package where they can improve and both teams feel they win the trade rather than giving him some big extension and finding out it’s probably not worth it… the value (based on last years numbers) it at a high right now and I hope we take advantage of that and move him for a player right now in stress of at the deadline for a couple picks that won’t be impactful for 3 years (or not move him at all)!

Barzal to detroit
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>vmark</b></div><div>That's too much for NYI man. Detroit would maybe do this but they aren't going to send a 1st, a good prospect, a top pairing guy they love, and one of their most valuable home grown top 6 players. I feel like you're overvaluing Barzal here. I see the Dobson inclusion, but it still just feels like too much.
Like Dobson for Hronek, I'm not even sure Detroit does that. Bertuzzi is a good top 6 player. They could theoretically get a haul for him at the deadline to a contending team or just resign him because they should be trying to compete now.</div></div>
… you’re saying you don’t think DETROIT would do Dobson for Hronek?

20222023 NHL Season
I like it! My concerns aren’t with your projections, I believe these are a solid picture of what opening night could in fact look like. Simply put, I hate the fact that 4 mil in cap space is scratched on a nightly basis. I wish there was a realistic way to be more productive with that money instead of having it sit up in the press box. Any ideas on that? Other than that (which has nothing to do with your ACGM specifically, but you seem to have solid knowledge of what’s going on in the league), I like this look very much more than 365 days ago. Nice work!

Kadri
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DrDinkiee</b></div><div>Most accurate description of Kadri. He’s good. Would be a great edition to any team. But any multi year deal he signs carries a significant amount of risk.</div></div>
Spot on. I’d even take a look at over paying for a 1 year deal, plus then you can move out some of our stagnant pieces that could use a change of scenery to succeed. We have about 8 bottom 6 guys right now… And young guys chomping at the bit to make the team this year or next. In my eyes, you could stand to lose a Rasmussen, an Oesterle, an Erne possibly. And then even get SOMETHING for them, even if it isn’t a 1-2 rounder.

Dont let Bert become Abdelkader
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>Trouba won't waive, and Miller is gonna be a key shutdown piece to that D for years.
Bertuzzi is a helluva player, but DET is going to have a hard time getting value for him. Can't be traded to any of the CDN teams due to his vax status, and can't play any games in Canada, which could hurt his playoff value. (though the metro is the most likely landing place for him). DET fans need to come to terms with him most likely getting traded at the deadline for a low first and a B prospect.</div></div>
Great insight! I know the vax situation isn’t helping at all. Could be a pain later. Trouba stated he would waive for Detroit. I can’t remember when I read it, but those were his words. More or less my thought process was NYR wants to move his contract, that has been known. Fox is untouchable there, I figured I’d shoot for the next best in Miller, but like you said, he’s a nearly obvious piece of their future.
