Neither team does that MTL trade, Montreal isn’t trading their best D prospect for that and Detroit doesn’t need LD as their pipeline is stacked

If you are habs fan you should know better.

The trade is soooooooo bad on multiple levels.

From a depth perspective we have one of the best rated prospected pools in the league. You lost quality over quantity in the trade which is the exact opposite of what we wpuld be trying to do

You know what our pool looks like and you added another winger.

You got rid of our LD who has the most experience playong RD.

Nevermind the major value discrepancy.

I was asking for your opinion on Guhle and you gave me a bunch of stuff I couldn't care less about. Sounds like Craig Button talking points to me

Outsider view point, I believe it is fair because Zadina still has upside as he is only entering his D+5 year. Mind you some prospects were just in their D+5 year. If you look at detroits 2nd round pick that year, jonatan berggren, he is one of the most highly touted prospects. Zadina has to put everything together but as a 22 year old, he is much more valuable than you think. Imo Zadina for guhle 1-1 is a fair trade but to get over the illusion that guhle will come in and be an instant impact, the seconds are needed. Zadina is a breakout candidate who has similar upside to guhle, but is older and hasn’t broken out at the NHL level yet. The value for both teams but I’d imagine if anybody is saying no, it’s Detroit.

Its not remotely fair what are you smoking. Zadina at this point is not a blue chip prospect/player anymore. He turn 23 at the start of the year and has shown nothing to suggest consostent 2nd line upside.

Guhle is coming off a WHL title in which he was playoff MVP, captain and #1 dman for team canada at the world juniors, and a near perfect season by almost any defensive metric.

Zadina being drafted high has no bearing 5 years later Guhle is much more valuable at this point and its not particularly close

Outsider viewpoint buddy. I’m not smoking anything. Continue to have the illusion guhle will come in and be an instant factor. Guhle was in the WHL while Zadina was in the NHL. Habs get somebody who playing in an elevated roll in montreal would get the shot he deserves. If you look at Zadinas best season, it was when he was in the most elevated roll. Play him with 4th liners and he would play like a fourth liner. If you see his advanced stats, he has shown constant progression. He has improved every facet to his game and if given the opportunity, he would be a top 6 guy. You simply have bias towards your guy and will be disappointed when he comes to the NHL and isn’t as good as you think he will be.

No he doesn’tt. Dater wrote a total of 49 words of him speculating this bc nhl sources claim this, not one from associated with the avs, mackinnnon or his agent

Dater would have 0 sources with mackinnon. The dude legit hates him. And dater lost his credentials from the avs bc of his dumb questions to mack.

People are getting clickbaited

He didn’t mid summer just randomly tell source not associates with the avs or mackinnon he wants to be the highest paid player.

It’s what dater does, he does click bait stuff for hockey now.

Dater has 0 sources with the avs, they took away his credentials bc he pissed off mackinnon and the players wit his dumb questions,

Elevated role? You must be joking. The habs have 7 wingers signed who had a better ppg than zadina last year and thats before ypu get to slaf, armia, byron or pezz. He would be lucky to play.

Guhle is several years younger he will be a better player at 22 than the fringe 3rd/4th line calibre player zadina was this past season. He got 14 mins a night including 2 mins per game on the pp. 22 points is terrible.

Ok you clearly don’t have your stats correct. Zadina averaged 12:55 first off. Secondly see the advanced stats. Thirdly, doesn’t matter if the habs had 7 players better than him in PPG, Zadina is younger and will have more than them this coming season. You really do love overrating your players. I get everybody does it but damn this is just really sad to see.

14:11 with 1:50 per game on the pp.

https://mobile.twitter.com/JFreshHockey/status/1392144190327427072

He was a 5th percentile at the end of last year using advance stats. Literally replacement level

You are vastly overvaluing what is pretty clearly a bust top 10 pick and a fringe nhler at best

You are aware that is from may 2021? Over a season ago. I am getting my numbers from evolving hockey.

Rookie year:
TOI. G. IxG. xG+/60 RelxG±/60 C±/60 RelC±/60
13:27 0 0.69 -2.43. -1.73 -40.79 -29.76

Last year:

TOI G ixG xG±/60 RelxG±/60 C±/60 RelC±/60
12:55 6 9.65 -0.39 0.09 -6.36 5.25

If that doesn’t show all around improvement I don’t know what does. He also has done this in less TOI. I am not overvaluing him and if you take Josh Anderson, a player habs fans consistently overvalue, his stats look like this

15:26 14 13.33 -0.53 0.10 -10.56 1.21

Zadina is better in xG±/60, C±/60, and RelC±/60. He is also .01 less than him in RelxG+/60. In every major per 60 stat, Zadina is better than Anderson. So I will word it like this. Would you trade a 22 year old Josh Anderson and two seconds for Guhle if guhle was on the wings?

You`ll be waiting another 10 years for Zadina. Good luck with that.
