This is a pretty swift pass from the Canes, although this is better than a lot of offers. Especially in the division, I'm assuming the ask would be Poulin, Smith + 1st, and maybe a little more than that. Carolina have the cap to bring Necas in, and they have a positional need he fits. Moving him is going to require a stupidly dumb overpayment

No one is paying for McGinn, ands cap dumps are currently expensive

Canes have better LD in the pipeline than POJ. No need to sell low on Necas, especially with the main piece coming back being a guy who seems to have fallen on the depth charts.
