I'm in the camp of Muzzin regressing sooner rather than later, but it looks like the Leafs management still believes in him. Kerfoot is owed league min in real money and can be flipped for at least a 2nd at the deadline. It looks like nobody's making moves with Kadri and Klingberg unsigned so far. I really really like Kerfoot, but no other single move (non-Muzzin) seems to make sense.

Thought process:

- Clifford and Simmonds rotate or both play if it's a nasty game
- Muzzin and Gio get load managed and play 35ish each, Sandin slides up to top 4 often
- Robertson gets swapped with Engvall and Jarnkrok on the 2nd and 3rd line. Total blender.
- Holl stays with the team because he's a good d-man on a nice, low cap hit. Can fill in top 4 in case of injury.
- Sandin really shouldn't be more than Liljegren but who knows. Better to bet slightly higher just in case.

I personally would prefer Marner with Tavares and Nylander with Matthews, but that's because I think Robertson would do great with Marner gifting him opportunities (and Matthews can generate enough on his own). Knowing how the Leafs be, though, Matthews - Marner probably never gets separated.

Wild speculation but I'm feeling like Keefe prefers absolute jerks on the fourth line. Should Douglas pan out, Clifford - Douglas - Simmonds would be a very punishing fourth line. Who knows if that's a good strategy or not, with the focus on possession I like it as a spare parts line for prospects.

Trade deadline? I think Knies getting called up would be the big move when someone is injured.
