Description

The money is there for both of them so if they can’t decide on wanting to remain in Calgary or not trade both of them for as much we can get. I’d rather gain some assets for them than go through this all over again.

Meh, prospects and picks are for rebuilders, which Calgary is clearly not. If you're not in a playoff spot, sure, sell them, but I'm 99% sure that this is a playoff team, and if they're in a playoff spot leading up to the deadline, I can't see them moving either.

Worst case? You lose both in free agency, and use some of the $36ish mil in space you'll have to go after another big fish or two.

Unless this team is better than last year going into the deadline we need to sell on them. We can still go out next summer and spend big AND have two young RHD to bring up with 3 1sts in the deepest draft in years
