It's not due to any imagined "deep draft" conviction on my part; if the changes you've made this off-season work, then the 2023 pick is going to be late and then the 2024 pick will probably be that late or later, while if this year's changes don't work, you'll have another chance to improve next time, so the 2024 pick will probably be later in that instance, too.

I wouldn't care if we were dealing with a team like Arizona or Seattle or Montreal.

I think CHI might bite on Foegele for a 3rd. It's certainly in the realm of possibility. But that would eat up a decent chunk of Davidsons coveted cap flexibility. Foegele is definitely a lot more useful than most of the other low ball cap dump offers people propose dumping on CHI on here, though.
