Description
Here is how the AHL roster would look with all of the waiver exempt players and guys who likely won't be claimed on it. Foudy may not make it through waivers since he isn't exempt anymore. If they don't think he'll make it through then they either make a claim to replace him, sign one of their PTOs or keep one of their better players from the Monsters last year. Same goes for Pyythia and Malatesta if they're not ready for the AHL yet.

I’d put Foudy at 2LW, bump Angle up to his spot and put Pyyhtïä at 3C.

Also, Berni at 3LD and Knazko back to the WHL. They also have some players on AHL only contracts in the mix.

Knazko is either going the AHL or back to Europe most likely this season. He's an overager and import which takes one spot away from both limited classifications for the WHL. Teams only get 3 overagers and 2 imports so they don't like to keep guys like that around.

I like the other rotation though. I'll do that.

I'm not sure what the reserve limits are for the AHL, but they'd be bumping a few guys off the roster or adding them to whatever reserve list there is in this situation.

How did you get Malatesta on the roster? He’s not under contract from what I can find.

Guys I’m pretty sure are currently with contracts to play with the Monsters:
G Pavel Cajan
LD Dillon Simpson
LD Oliver LeBlanc
RD Cole Clayton
LW Cole Fonstad
LW Roman Ahcan
C Robbie Payne

So yeah, probably a few dudes will be going to Europe.

I just added him from the reserve list. Mostly because none of the AHL contracts are listed and the Monsters weren't exactly good last year so I figured he would be an upgrade on one of them. Svozil could actually spend one more year in the WHL since he isn't an overager yet so that could bring one of the other dmen in. Figured the Svozil/Jiricek pairing would be pretty interesting though.

It’s weird that he doesn’t show up as a signing when I view the post.

Dillon Simpson is the Captain so he’s most likely making the cut. LeBlanc and Clayton could wind up being sent to the ECHL and called up when there are injuries. Payne and Ahcan looked good late last season, but if KJ, China and March are on the team, both Payne and Ahcan are probably headed further down.

I like where Svozil’s game is right now and definitely think he could make the team. Jiricek too. Just being teammates would be a benefit to them both, even if they don’t play on a pair together.
