San Jose wouldn’t retain Timo’s contract.

I don’t think San Jose would take this deal even if they didn’t retain. You would have to offer even more now considering they are retaining a good chunk.

This deal is a Win only for Leafs

The 1st round pick is gonna be a very late pick as well so it wouldn’t interest San Jose.

Meier would be your 3rd best forward and give you an Elite top 6 and at 50% retained the ask would be 2 1st 2 2nds and a prospect plus you can throw in Kerfoot to even up the cap
