This team looks pretty solid, I'd say. I would love the Fehevary deal, but I think they go with a bridge deal. My prediction would be you are slightly off on some contract costs (but what do I know lol).

My prediction:

Fehervary: 3x$3.25mil
Orlov: 4x$5mil (maybe 3 years)
Strome: 4x$4.25mil

Other than that, I like the team. Could use the additional money for a top 6 scoring winger.

In my head at least, most of those contracts end up being a little larger than I would've thought, so I tried to play into that here. I'd love to save more money and go for a guy like Tarasenko to pair with either Strome or Lapierre, but it'd put the Caps in a bind into next year. My guess is that a top six scorer would be brought in at the deadline if the team is competitive.

Another part of the Fehervary and Strome deals was thinking to when the inevitable rebuild will hit. Potentially gives the Caps a few nice tradeable assets post Ovi.
