Description

I don’t think that many people can make a valid argument that there is a better overall roster than this one when healthy. This roster is built upon balance, with a deep forward, at the very least a top 3 dcore, and obviously a Jennings trophy pairing. Even the potential call ups (listed in Taxi Squad) could provide a massive boost in case of injuries.

Strengths of the roster: offensive balance, great defense, and great goaltending
Weaknesses of the roster: no true goal scorer (at least for the first half of the season), power play?, and injury prone players

Biggest questions going into the season:
1) Can players stay healthy? (Andersen, Raanta, Kase)
2) Can they fix their power play woes while maintaining their penalty kill strengths?
3) Can they outscore or out defend enough to stay at the top of the Metro until Patches gets back?
4) Can players who need to breakout perform up to expectations? (Kotkaniemi, Jarvis, Necas)
5) Does anyone get dealt this season? (Necas, Bear, Martinook)

I'd swap Jarvis and Teuvo, Teuvo and Svech on either side of KK is one hell of a way to lighten the load on Kotkaniemi.

These are just lines I expect Rod to make when Patches comes back, at the very least to try out. I do expect Turbo and Jarvis to be swapped in the long run though.
