Opening roster I expect to see

Vesey to New York but its a lot less exciting this time challenge. Seriously so frustrated to see he's likely going to start the year on the FIRST line bro hes fringe 4th liner at best. I don't expect him to stay there but its so annoying that Gallant and management will still ice guys like this in huge roles. Its like they're trying to make the team as mid as possible

It’s definitely not as exciting as the out of college signing. However I think he’s battled past some of the same things Gaut is now going through. Not sure if it’s a confidence issue, being able to create a new identity as a player by adding/focusing on grit now that you’re not a dominant player like in juniors. Could be that Vesey has finally matured to a level that he can compete and may not be elite, but will bring it every game like Blackwell did. if Vesey works out tonight I think we will see him there next game and TB, etc.

How does Vesey keep getting chances in the NHL

His potential after college was what kept him around after NYR. By the time he got to TOR he seemed so out of place. Then he impressed in NJ and played alright, now he has impressed in NYR again and most think he’s getting signed. Hopefully he continues his solid play if signed. Many players manage to stick around for multiple stints with teams while others barely get a look, no idea why
