Description
I actually hope this doesn't happen because I want Hischier but I thought about it and it's a neat idea.

Vegas reportedly covets Nolan Patrick so trading up to #1 would be a guaranteed way to get him and really get their franchise started off in a positive way. Devils have a huge need on defense but also need to shore up things offensively. So they get Theodore to help right away, Makar (who they apparently really like) to be the star down the road and then flip the extra pick for Galchenyuk to take a big step forward offensively as well.

Not a chance Galchenyuk is dealt for anything less than a top 2 center. Devils aren't a good trade partner. Only assets Montreal would consider is Zacha, McLeod, Patrick (1st OA).

Your not getting Shea Theodore (who Vegas said they aren't moving) and 3 1sts for the 1st Overall. Vegas would do all 3 picks maybe. Not what you put.

Schmidt would be an acceptable replacement for Theodore as well. I know Vegas doesn't want to move them but going up to #1, you gotta overpay. And to be clear, it's Theodore and 2 1sts. The idea is that they trade up to #3 by giving Dallas an extra 1st, leaving Vegas with 2 1sts: #3 and #13.

Pretty sure that Galchenyuk is exactly that...?

And again I should emphasize that I don't think this has any chance of happening. Just thought it was a neat idea.
