Description
I truly believe that Muzzin will retire. He's been very injured prone, and at this point, it could very well impact his future after hockey.

Also, trading Simmonds is more doing right by the player. Not sure how much interest there is, but the point stands that he simply cannot crack a healthy leafs lineup as a regular.

Gogolev needs a change of scenery on a team that may be looking for a potential scoring depth player. Not sure if we could even get a seventh for him but regardless, the point stands.

Winnipeg needs forward depth in my eyes, the leafs have too much and likely need to free up spots, and Winnipeg has a decent amount of cap room. I could see a deal forming here. It also wouldn't blow my mind if we retained some coin simply because its only for this year

Not sure how on earth the leafs ever get a chychrun deal done without parting with one or multiple firsts and at least one of Robertson or Knies. It would kill me to trade either but you pay for what you get. I threw in SDA because I feel he would have a lot of opportunities there. If he flourishes, that will be a great addition. My trade probably isn't enough but IDC, its CapFriendly for crying out loud.

Edmonton could use a defenseman like Holl in my eyes

Roast away because Im horrible at these

Why would th3 leafs spend a ton on an injury prone defender who cannot play RD and they have no room on LD?

Kinda amazing that the Holl isn't wanted by (by this post) by the Leafs but is good enough for the Oilers. More fascination with Chychrun, and hoping that Muzzin retires to make the team cap compliant.
Gogolov is bare AHL competent, a change of scenery does nothing.
By the way, even if Muzzin retires, there is about a 1.6m cap capture penalty this year and next due to his front loaded contract.

This is not roast you worthy. But a few notes:

Gogolev is not worth anything except another minor leaguer. Given all of the contracts I think the Leafs are better off giving him away for FC.

I agree with everything about Simmonds and if there is mutual interest with him a Philly, great.

I don't think the Leafs should trade Holl. He is a little overpaid for a 6th or 7th defenseman but he is a very important and useful part of this team. I think they keep him and let him walk as a FA.

Engvall is a tough one. Not playing up to what he is capable of, but is a useful depth piece. But I would rather get nothing than retain.

Finally, I know Chychrun to Toronto is popular right now, but I do not think it's a good idea and I really hope the Leafs don't do it unless the ask drops below market value.
