Description
Roast away haters! I would also be seriously considering buying out OEL this summer.

Could have some teams looking to move some Dmen for cap dump reasons, critical to have the space to do this, maybe Girard, Durzi, Pertersson (PIT) could be available, maybe even a Provorov

Conor Garland > Washinton's 2023 2nd round pick+Washington's 2024 3rd round pick.

Tanner Pearson < Calgarys 2024 2nd round pick.

Patric Hornqvist = Tyler Myers.
Florida's 2023 2nd round pick > William Lockwood.

And buying out OEL in 2023 with 4 years left and 8 years of dead money for a team heading for a rebuild would be pure asinine.

I would hope for a better return for Garland, but he is likely someone that would be available.

Doubt CGY takes that.

Something around Hornqvist for Myers makes sense for Vancouver, but I'm not sure if it does for Florida.

I would let go of Pearson for anything tbh, more concerned about the cap space.

I’ve been trying to figure out what team would value Myers and looking for a comparable contract to take back that doesn’t go past this year

The problem is, I don't see any competing team taking Myers for less than 50% retention. Anything less and VAN pays to move him.
Pearson will be tough to move with the extra year...........once again payment will be needed to be made in a form of retention, and max you'll get is a 4th
Garland has value, but the Flames already have a similar player in Toffoli, might need to find another landing spot

So frustrating to think where this team could be if OEL/Garland trade never happened and Pearson was traded at the deadline vs signing a new deal
