I don't understand why Holloway is being put on the fourth line. With Kane out he can play a full time top 6 role. If we are gonna give him minimal playing time send him to the AHL where he can actually play and develop.

he started the last 2 games on the 2nd line with Drai and Hyman but last game was demoted to the 4th line after a turnover, and I can understand why they are giving Foegele a chance in the top 6 because he has been good the past few games

I understand that but I think demoting him right away after a mistake and giving him little playing time does nothing to help him play better. It destroys his confidence imo. If he isn't going to play big time minutes in the NHL, we might as well give it to him in the AHL.

I really liked Woodcroft's usage and deployment last spring, but this fall I'm wondering if he's outsmarting himself a bit. Some of the moves are short-sighted at best, the handling of Holloway being a prime example.

Disappointing.

Holloway I can understand to some degree really slow playing into the line up. He did miss a crap ton of time and opportunity to develop with his wrist. I don't mind the way woody is handling that ya its not ideal ice time but training and practicing with the big squad is something towards his development. We sat bouchard for his "first" season with the big club. What bothers me more is niemelainen paired with Barrie I'm not high on that combo together.
