He probably can't. He's better than Holloway only because he hasn't played. He's right there with Mete and would be in the AHL if not for his brother. He most certainly is not better than Benn. Also when the team is healthy, he will still have some dead money left on the cap when they send him down. It won't be much, but when it's such a low impact player, even a $1 hit against the cap is too much.

Might be one of the more reasonable thoughts on Leafs acquiring a Dman, if only for short term. Don't know if Jones would even be a regular on the Leafs with Benn, Mete, Kral, Holloway might inserted in the current "crisis". But getting a potential short term addition, certainly can't hurt the Leafs.
