Why would PHI trade Koneckny for a dman prospect that would be 3rd in their system behind Andrae AND York and a late in the round 1st in a draft TWO drafts away WHILE taking a cap dump in UFA to be Engvall? Engvall has no value to PHI, and if Koneckny is on market, I think he gets better offers, so I;d think TOR would have to add both their 2023 3rds.

While I agree with you they'd get better offers, they lack D depth on the right side. Andrae and York both play the left side. Lets pretend they decide to move on from Provorov, and that left side has Sanheim, York and Andrae. Their RHD prospects are Attard and Samson, neither have top pair potential. I actually like the Niemela addition. The pick would have to be a '23 though. Engvall is a dump for Toronto so maybe Philly flips him for another pick. Toronto fans always overhype their prospects but something like this would get them thinking:

Tor: Konecny/ Wylie/ '23 third
PHI:'23 first, Niemela, Engvall, '24 second

Honestly though I think Konecny is wearing the 'C' in Philly nest season.
