Good morning,

OEL and his contract, even retained twice is of no interest to Buffalo.

I imagine LA and Arizona both say no immediately

As a Sabres fan….
Even with the retention, i don’t want any part of OEL for 5 more years @ over $6mil per
Maybe if the retention was half his Cap number, & he only cost us $3.6mil per- but that’s still just a MAYBE, bc idk that OEL can play the right side well, & he’s already declining
So that’s a bit much for a LD3 who’s only gonna get 15min a night (at most) and could be total garbage before that contract is up

I think I’d just rather stay away from him
Although if it was reasonably priced to get someone to take another half off, at $1.8mil per i think he’d be worth the risk

That might get pricy in assets to get everything done though,
and we could just be better off looking for another 3rd pair guy who’s cheaper

Bobby see poorly.

We're not trading the RW on our most productive forward line unless Mattias Samuelsson is involved.

Buffalo shouldn't have anything to do with Ekman-Larsson, especially if you're going to play him out of position, and Arizona isn't trading their starting goalie for a second-round draft pick.
