Not even in the ballpark for Timo Meier, That offer gets beaten by a country mile.

And we're not trading Rasmussen for a bunch of nothing.

1st of all, that flyers trade is just straight up garbage. In what world is Laughton and Risto worth more than Meier?
Get rid of the Philly trade and add all the decent assets to the San Jose trade while taking out the picks coming back to Pittsburgh and you might find yourself at least in the same universe for Meier. But it would be barely in the same universe.
Actually all these trades now looking at it are terrible. The Meier trade is terrible for the sharks and the rest are terrible for the pens.
