Offer sheet for Parayko is interesting. STL would match, but that would force them to make another move. Parayko might not even sign an offer sheet for anything smaller than 8x8, because it's worth it for his next contract to be playing on a good team with Bouwmeester and Pietrangelo as mentors.

Offer PIT Duchene for Matta straight up and I'm not sure they take the deal, they're clearly thin on D and overstocked on forwards.

The only team offering cheap D might be Vegas, and it'll be the older ones they don't want to hold in 3 years' time. Calgary has been smart hitting the market early when they got Hamilton 2 years ago, or Hamonic this year.

I could see Nilsson picking COL or any other team where he has a shot at stealing the #1 spot.

Interesting proposal, but I think neither Sakic nor a next GM wouldn't burn their bridges and go all in without a trusted goalie and top pair D. The prospect pool is just too shallow and there won't be anything left if these moves only make them a fringe playoff team.

Unfortunately the "prospect pool too shallow" is the biggest thorn in our side right now - you're correct.

Also, I would consider 8x8 for Parayko.

your offer sheet compensation is incorrect.

(7x6)/5 = 8.4 AAV

that would require 2 1sts, 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick

Ah - correct. Did not read the 5 year avg. part. I'm still ok with it. But STL would likely match.
