That is constructive. Edmundson with retention is worth about a 3rd round pick to LA. Alternatively, they'd do a 1-for-1 trade for Sean Walker.

They're not giving up quality prospects for a defenseman with injury issues that has been really bad this season, even relative to his own teammates, so it's not just a "good defenseman playing on a bad team" issue.

At this point, Edmundson would be a 3rd pairing or even a 7th defenseman for the Kings.

Then you should accept that from a team that offers it up. It won't be LA. Blake has proven to be very frugal with his assets in trades.

There's a difference between "constructive" and "agreement."
