Martinook isn’t moving.

I don’t see Hayes being the type of player who the Canes would be targeting.

Hayes would likely be a Canes target. A guy producing at a higher rate who will be moved at below market value.

My comment was on the player himself - I understand your angle regarding contract, term and below market value.

However, my concern is about what Hayes brings to the Canes that we are missing. He’s not a good face off guy, has never been considered a line driver, nor particularly good defensively. I think looking at point totals leads someone astray on Hayes.

I think Hayes is a decent player, but don’t know if it really adds something materially for the Canes at a level to move assets for him. If the Flyers retained half and gave him away for pennies on the dollar, sure. Guessing they won’t.

Hayes wouldn’t be a 2C but the 2LW target. If he doesn’t play center for torts he won’t for Rod.
