Young cheap RFA to fill out a spot in the bottom 6 for the next year or more. Dallas wouldn't want to trade him cause they are after a cup and he provides depth and energy as a young player. The same logic may apply after the season and they may want to keep him, but he was claimed off waivers, so a 4th round pick in this years draft + possibly extra could interest them. I haven't seen him play other than the game vs Dallas on Saturday lol, but he did enough with his limited ice time that I was really impressed, and I would take that kind of gamble because its low risk and could be high reward. I think he has a ton of potential, whether it's playing in Dallas or Tampa. He's fast as hell, excellent at puck protection for only being 24, great stickhandler, not a defensive liability at a young age, can throw the body around and isn't afraid of playing gritty.
