Avoid the Shiny Object from Chicago

There is no shiny object in Chicago and Drury knows that, and that's why he got Tarasenko. Kane isn't going anywhere near MSG.

Agree. If he wants to sign a new, team friendly deal to play at MSG with Mika and Panarin, I'm all for it, assuming his hip is ok. Just not interested in giving up any assets for him at this point.

yea the trade ship has sailed. That’s a fair take you have. I do think if he made the same money as Tarasenko he’d be the choice. But because Kane deal needed a 3rd team to be involved, which meant more assets leaving, it made no sense. Especially seeing what it cost us for Tank. It wasn’t much at all, which definitely surprised the hell out of me

It could also be the asking price from Chicago was too high for Drury's liking. Especially considering the price for Tarasenko, plus they got Mikkola and solidified the 3rd D pair. I think Drury hit a homerun.
