Nothing justifies Pelletier replacing Dube at 1LW. Dube’s incredibly hot right now with 4 Goals and 7 Points in his last 5GP and 8 Goals and 13 Points in his last 13GP

Maybe move Pelletier to 4LW and Ritchie, Lewis or Lucic to Line 2 or bring up Duehr. Even Better would be to pull the Trigger on a Trade for Duclair, JVR, Barbashev or Domi

Here’s the D-Pairing in practice today which should work much better for them as well:

Hanifin-Tanev
Weegar-Andersson
Gilbert-Zadorov (or Zadorov-Gilbert)
Mackey-Stone

Fast, puck mover, offensively minded, inconsistent but looking better last year. Tough to say where he's at now after missing most of the season.

Good Stick Check and Loves to Jump in to the Play in the O-Zone looking for One-Timers and Passes he can put Top Shelf

Weaknesses are he Lacks ideal Size & Strength and isn’t very Physical, so isn’t the best at tying up guys behind the net and when he does shoot for the Top-Shelf, he regularly misses causing the puck to rim around the glass and out, either stopping the O-Zone & PP pressure & control (infuriating his teammates) or inadvertently causing odd man & short handed rushes the other way.

He also had an issue transitioning from skating forward to going backwards, so falls too often and sometimes awkwardly in to the boards, either injuring himself or leaving his D-Partner to scramble, which directly caused Tanev’s shoulder injury last season
