Not sure if this is enough or any interest to Avs fans; I think it fills interesting needs for both sides. Colorado gets younger, saves cap, and gets another pick; Islanders fill the need they have for a puck moving defenseman to help stabilize the offense, and get a player with term instead of a rental.

i don't hate this trade, that 2.5 mil would be huge next season and would give us some serious leeway to make a 2C trade.
