Description
Trying to figure out how the Kings keep Gavrikov and Korpisalo is difficult, but asking Vilardi to take another $1M x 1 might be the key. The Kings rewarded Mikey Anderson, hope we can do the same with Gabe (and Kupari/JAD)

I expect Spence to get the start next season and Clarke to be called up which will be when we trade high on Durzi.

In MY humble opinion, the only way that this is all going to work out to keep Durzi and Gavrikov is to move Iafallo and Roy, but I don't know who will be in the market for high-quality but big-ticket players.

The more I think about the Gavrikov/Korpisalo trade, the worse the failure to make the pick our 2024 first looks.

Iafallo and Vilardi have had some great chemistry, he’s a player who plays well with everyone but I have to admit Moore is better with Danault than Iafallo has been. If Kupari and Vilardi can get a bit stronger defensively I think we can afford moving Iafallo. But I think Arvidsson can be replaced by Fiala eventually, so that’s who I’d guess would be moved.

Imagine if instead of Gavrikov's $4.75 million cap hit, we had Jake McCabe there for $2 million, even assuming a significant on-ice difference between them. I think that I'll do an ACGM to address our mutual angst.

As a Sabres fan I think we’d have a lot of interest in Iafallo. Putting him on a 2nd line with Cozens/Quinn, or the 3rd line with Krebs/Peterka, he could be a solid add to the group. Has ties to the area as well which could help.
