Description

Elvis Merzlikins is having an extremely rough season. He's (likely) playing injured, and the memory of Matiss Kivlenieks still seems to be weighing down on him. Just recently, he returned to Latvia, as his grandmother passed away.

For the sake of his mental health, i personally feel the best course of action is enrolling in the Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Program, like Alexandre Texier has, and taking the year off. We would have to sign a goalie to a one-year deal to fill the gap, but he'll come back next year, hopefully better.

Jets take this maybe add in vesalainen because Jarmo loves his fins and he's done well in liiga this season. Jets would need to move a dman out but that can be a separate deal

I doubt he'd be on the NHL squad for the Caps at all, so i don't know why you'd want him. Perhaps a 6th round pick.
