I don't mind the trade. But it shouldn't be about the money for Matthews Leafs could if they wanted about as much money as any team, it's where Matthews want to play/live/ and optimize his earning potential outside of hockey.

Again you TOR fans have got to lower the trade value for a UFA player. Idc if it’s Mathews.

Kings can attempt to sign him for free.

If they make this trade and he doesn’t sign. It’s a ridiculous trade.

“Assuming” doesn’t get you that much for a….again, a UFA.
