Description
Brock seems to have found a different role to play this year, watching his playmaking especially the 2nd half of the season he has had great vision and finds open players in dangerous spots and seems to be working well with Miller. Once we have Mikheyev back next year I would love to see how those 3 play as Beau is playing lights out with Petterson and Kuzmenko. Also would like to see Boeser play on the left side vs the right to allow him more opportunities to get his shot off from a more dangerous spot as a RH shot. Garland has value but needs somewhere that he can truly be a middle 6 winger as he has been mostly a bottom 6 for us and is still over .5 PPG player. I think Aman has shown the talent to be a 3C and have better quality scoring wingers to showcase his playmaking and Podz could use a better setup 3C vs Dries who really is just a placeholder and needs to be back down in the AHL. Our D still needs work but if we can get Jake Livingstone signed that's a potential big piece for us might be a long term partner for Hughes. Keeping OEL as we dont need the cap space yet and every year we can hold off the cheaper it is to buy him out, maybe he shows up healthy and play with Hronek in a shut down role worse case we have other players outperform and he's a healthy scratch and is open to be traded vs watching hockey for the next 4 years.

We still have lots of Cap space for the following yea to sign all the important contracts even if we keep OEL we could go out and get a better LHD to play with Hronek but I think we should be patient and see how next year goes 1st and maybe pick up someone mid season via trade or even wait the entire season out to get that piece.

It sure does raise trade value hopefully. But as of right now I think I’d want to move only one of Garland or Boeser and I’m leaning more toward moving Garland as well. I like Hogs and Podz but I’m not sure if I like them enough to throw them in a top 6 role right away which is why it’d be good to keep one of them around longer. And as you said he’s been a good playmaker. It’d be nice if Hogs, Podz, and Kravstov work out though

Even post bonus, I have a difficult time believing zmyers holds positive value due to that cap hit.

Not so much for his play but his cost vs cap hit for a team not wanting to spend real $$ to hit the cap floor, he will have a bit of value to those kinds of teams, worse case we retain 2 mil to get value elsewhere.
