Bellemare is great defensively and a great penalty killer. While he doesn't provide a whole lot, you know what you're going to get from him and he isn't a liability. I understand where you're coming from though.

among the 12 forwards with at least 200 minutes of ice time here, he is an offensive black hole, and defensively if it wasnt for his blocked shots and FO%, he would be way below average. when on the ice, the team shoots 6.8% (2nd lowest), and has a save percentage of 90.21 (7th overall). his CF% is 38.93% is the lowest behind 48.43% Nick Paul. Im sure you could pick any of the AHL forwards we have and they would at least do the same if not better than PEB

All your points are valid. I just think it may be too late in the season to start running new trials. If we play **** vs Ottawa and get ran by Boston on Saturday, then I would consider it. I just think it's too late in the game to bring in inexperienced NHL blood, unless someone has a hot hand and gets called up for the playoffs if we stink up the building. You're right, offensively, he is non existent, unless the school bus is rolling. They however, haven't been seen consistently in months. I think you just rotate Maroon, Belle and Perry in and out for the remainder of the season until stabilization occurs. I think he's too valuable to have riding the pine. Vets know when the heat needs to be turned up and we saw it last year how those 3 guys are willing to go to the wall to win games. While it's miniscule, his FO numbers can't be argued against. For a guy who doesn't take a ton of draws, he comes up when it matters. Same thing for timely blocked shots or on the PK. and anything above 90 for on ice save percentage is quite good. There are few players who are above like a 92 93. If you are over 90, you're plenty sufficient. I didn't watch the game last night tho.
