I saw an interesting comment on hfboards about the possibility of Columbus/Arizona trade involving Vejmelka so I wanted to take a look at it. This would be a draft day trade. I am quite sure it needs tweaking so this is entirely a starting place. Thinking Veggie is a bit closer to where Columbus wants to be timeline than Tarry, plus he's already proven to be good behind a questionable defense. Tarasov is an intriguing goalie prospect but he's been inconsistent and is out of options next year.

Don't read too much into my lines. I gave it a very passing consideration. Also, I think Dumais probably gets his nine games next season to start the year then goes back to Halifax in time for the WJC. Unless he absolutely outplays Peeke and Boqvist, Jiricek should start the year in Cleveland as well, a la the Yzerplan with Seider and Edvinsson. Voronkov and McKown I don't know enough about yet to anticipate who starts the year in Columbus and who's in Cleveland; honestly the reverse of what I've got here is probably more likely considering the way the org handled Marchenko this year. Soucy could be any LD FA, so if the target is Gavrikov or Graves add a few million and years of term to that deal.
