In what world is your third pairing defenseman worth a third round pick and a young starting goaltender? Yikes.

What starting goalie? You’re not referring to a goalie that is one of the worst in the league and probably heading back home in a few years time in UPL are you? I thought it’s fluffy a favour considering he’s absolutely awful.

Odds are very good he will be the Sabres starting goaltender next season. Therefore I don’t think he’s available, but if he’s so god awful, What the hell do you want him for? Keep your third pairing defenseman if that’s what it cost to get him. The Sabres can find a better player without giving up anything in free agency.

If that’s your starting goalie enjoy another season watching the playoffs without being in it. Levi is your future. Anderson is your best goalie but he will be done soon.

It’s possible that Levi will win the job in training camp next season, but he will have to do that. Otherwise, I expect Buffalo rolls with a Luukkonen-Comrie tandem until he is ready to take the job. If he is unbeatable in camp and forces himself on the team, then Comrie probably gets traded or waived, and he and Luukkonen share the net. That is the long-term future in Buffalo. The last thing the Sabres want to do is throw him to the wolves too early and ruin his confidence.

Hi expect the Sabres will make a couple moves in the off-season that may help. If they can find a top four defender play with Owen Power, and a fourth line Center who can win face-offs and help the penalty kill, they would be vastly improved defensively. I think Luukkonen would be a lot better if he weren’t facing A+ chances all the time, or 40+ shots almost every time he plays.
