Too much deadweight for Winnipeg to take on in Ylonen and Dvorak. Take them out and add Beck.

We're not giving you the 12-14th pick and Beck for a 2C.

Even this trade is an overpayment.

Conversely you could say of you are unbiased.

Winnipeg isn't trading Dubois for a mid first and 3 worthless pieces. Dvorak is an injured, overpaid bottom sixer, zero value to Winnipeg. Ylonen, a dime a dozen bottom sixer, close to zero value. Kidney an okay C level prospect.

I know Montreal fans constantly daydream about teams giving them very good players for their junk pieces, but it just doesn't happen. Trades need to work for both teams.

I can't remember what the original trade was, but it was even worse than this one. Kidney isn't good enough to offset the Jets taking two pieces with little to no value.

It doesn't matter to the Jets if you like it it not, they can trade PLD elsewhere and Montreal misses out.

Everyone has no value to you. Montreal could propose a trade that involved the chance at Bedard first and Suzuki and it still wouldn't be enough for you.

Dubois averages 18 minutes TOI this season, and his underlying defensive and offensive metrics place him as a valuable 2C, which is also where he'd be playing behind Suzuki.
Anything more than Kidney and a first would be an overpayment.

As for your continued parroting that Montreal has no leverage and that Winnipeg will just trade him elsewhere... they do, and they won't.
It's just been reported that Montreal and Winnipeg have been in continuous talks about speeding up a PLD trade. PLD, apparently, wants out. And he's chosen his destination.

PLD isn't staying there, and he doesn't want to play anywhere else. Winnipeg can trade him to another team, but why is any other team willing to move assets for PLD if he doesn't want to sign anywhere long term that ISN'T Montreal.

Winnipeg has a choice. Sign him for one more year, then let him walk for nothing, or flip him for some sort of a return. They are held with a tough choice.

I know you constantly daydream about getting a KINGS RANSOM for PLD, but that simply isn't happening. Stop with the one-sided views.

Yes, I agree you only see things one way and block out everything else. Show me the quote where PLD has said that he will play for Montreal and Montreal only starting next year. The fact is, no one knows what he really wants. You should stop parroting what you've heard on internet message boards and research things that PLD has actually said.

I never said this Montreal players have no value to me, I'm saying that as a Jet fan that knows and understands what the Jets team and prospect needs are, those players hold no value to Winnipeg as they aren't better than anything Winnipeg currently has, that's all.

Myself and no Jet fan here that I have seen has asked for a King's ransom for Dubois. Just a fair deal similar or slightly more than Horvat got as a pure rental. Since Dubois is younger, better and has a full year of control. That's certainly not an unreasonable expectation.

It actually wek weakens your rebuttal when you have to exaggerate to try and make a point. Try to stick to things that were actually stated.
