Description
Basically just doing what Hughes already is and thats acquiring size in either high volume hitters or shotblocker.

Caufield- 5'7 @ 174lbs
Farrell- 5'9 @ 175lbs
Gallagher - 5'9 @ 186lbs
RHP - 5'9 @ 181lbs
Suzuki - 5'11 @208lbs
Harris - 5'11 @189lbs
Savard - 6'1 @235lbs
Pezzetta - 6'1 @210lbs
Sissons - 6'1 @200lbs
Matheson- 6'2 @193lbs
Ghule - 6'2 @ 205lbs
Barron - 6'2 @ 201lbs
Allen - 6'2 @ 195lbs
Faksa - 6'3 @ 225lbs
Montembeault - 6'3 @ 215lbs
Gurianov - 6'3 @ 205lbs
Armia - 6'3 @ 216lbs
Anderson - 6'3 @ 218lbs
Foligno - 6'3 @ 226
Slafkovsky - 6'3 @ 238lbs
Xhekaj- 6'4 @ 238lbs
Kovacevic - 6'4 @ 212lbs
Dach - 6'4 @ 212lbs
Eddy - 6'4 @ 221lbs

That's one solid team with Size and MTL still has the room to sign PLD as a UFA with Eddy/Foligno out that summer clearing 6.6m on top of the 7.9 left now.
Sissons and Faksa leave just as Beck and Kidney come up after a few years seasoning in the AHL with a Primeau/Dobes Tandem they should go far.
Contracts and terms were given so those players would just be leaving as our youth are ready to come up to the NHL level.
I'm not upgrading Goaltending as i believe Primeau/Dobes tandem will help them both and maybe even push both Monty /Allen out if they develop a good bond like Price/Halak when they pushed out Huet/Theodore .
My point is i accounted for everything at its current projections assuming no one overachieves like Hutson .
That said God created man and man created Waive Exemption Status for just such cases lol
I woulda likely to have gone bigger with the roster but to be honest it wasnt worth sacrificing skill to do it.

NSH
  1. Evans, Jake
  2. 2023 3rd round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
69th OA pick in 2023
2.
MTL
  1. Faksa, Radek
Additional Details:
Dvorak's average year is Faksa's career best.
He's paid more then Faksa by 1.2m averaging atleast 10-20 points ahead for Faksa different years.

They're both overpaid because both a strong Faceoff guys who could benefit from a trade for different reasons.
DAL
  1. Dvorak, Christian
Additional Details:
Why Faksa right ? We dont need to dump Cap right ?

Well thats true but this is about again getting tougher and while Dvorak is better offensively i do find Defensively as a 4th line guy that Faksa is great. Unlike Dvorak thats all he'll be though

MTL will gain physically and doesnt lose faceoff support.
3.
MTL
  1. Primeau, Mason
  2. 2025 5th round pick (VGK)
Additional Details:
Primeau is a Goon but he's also Family so he might play atleast consistently at the AHL level infront of his Cousin making sure people regret crashing his net.

Think Pezzetta without the Personality or shot as Primeau does most of his scoring in the dirty area's . Right now he's in the ECHL but in Lavel he'd replace the injured Martel on 4th line
VGK
  1. Hoffman, Mike ($2,250,000 retained)
Additional Details:
MTL transfers VGK 5th round pick to ARZ to RS of 50% on Hoffman bringing him to 1.125m.
4.
MTL
  1. Foligno, Marcus
Additional Details:
MIN gets cap relief while adding a cheap contract of a solid 6/7th Defenseman. They also get paid a 4th round pick and a 6th round pick while freeing up 2.34m cap
MIN
  1. Wideman, Chris
  2. 2024 4th round pick (MTL)
  3. 2025 6th round pick (MTL)
Additional Details:
MTL adds someone who can play on any line as their 3/3 there to collect and distribute the puck while protecting our assets.

st l;ouis like dvorak who is good defensively and good on faceoffs so that trade is not going to happen... it is nice to have center depth why tradeit for nothing.... So you have Suzuki and dach and dubois and dvorak and evans aNd start dach on the wing.... and when injuries strike you still have 4 centers.... tha is the way to go unless winnipeg wants dvorak as part of the dubois trade

To Quote MSL on if he was dissapointed by the Toffoli trade
"I skate who im given and its 100% always Next Man Up with me , its how i was coached and why Torts gave me my shot that i seized"

So no , i really , really dont think your assertion holds weight even if i didnt Upgrade Dvorak . The Centers i got are better they just are overpaid or have term a rebuilding team wants gone because the new management is saddled with contracts they cant move and he's the only Center slot they can move for a Profit instead of a loss . If Sissons was younger on this deal there is absolutely no way MTL gets him that cheap.

My Center depth

Suzuki(Great but his Defensive Zone Faceoffs drag down his numbers big time )
Dach(cant win a faceoff to save his life which is why Farrell is on his wing to help him like he did Coronato)
Sisson (top bulk faceoff guy who dominates Defensive Faceoffs)
Faksa (top bul faceoffs guy who dominates Defensive Faceoffs.)

All these guys but Dach are tough , resilient players who dont sit out traditionally more then 5-7 games a year despite being Extremely Physical .
Dvorak and Evans are always hurt by Proxy and this is all before PLD shows up pushing Dach to Foligno's spot as he leaves the system .

There's also the AHL:
Owen Beck
Filip Mesar
Jan Mysak
Jared Davidson (best 5th rounder from the WHL since Gallagher,True Team Leader and undisputed top Center on a team full of highly drafted forwards)
Xavier Simmoneau (AHL top call up type like Rocco Giramindl he might become a regular as a veteran once the 5'6 lightweight packs on muscle )
Peter Abbadanato (our systems version of Desharnais undrafted Center who went from top Junior Scoring leader with multiple titles to ECHL to AHL to NHL to KHL to the NL eventually)

We got depth out the Wazoo but i could easily add more and better pieces then Evans and Dvorak .
I held off on Morgan Barron as i thought it was Overkill and WPG fans want such a large return for him .
But He'd give us a similar package as dock with a less skilled shooting /playmaking acumen that said he's far better defensively

yes some of our centers do seem a bit fragile like evans and dach too but not really dvorak at one point he hadnt missed a game right.... so i dont mind trading for a tough bottom six 6 center and moving on from dvorak but i think evans give value as per his contract so i would keep him
