Description
Don't care that Killorn is older, he can score which is what the Caps need in the top 6 and it won't break the bank in draft picks or money. Team can rebuild with a big youth movement in 2 to 3 years as all the older contracts expire anyway. Ethen Frank can stay up with the big club and rotate occasionally with Mal and Protas when they struggle or when there are injuries. It would be ideal to add another L or R dman but that would mean AA would be odd man out. Caps do need a better defense as evidenced by how hit or miss they've been this year. Also, tell me what you think about the lines and if they seem balanced or could be better.

Caps aren't paying to move Mantha. My bet he stays and sees if the new coach uses him properly.

And please no to Killorn. This team needs to get younger and faster, not older and slower.

Killorn isn't taking no discount from an aging Capitals team, he's going to get 3-4 years in the $4,500,000 to $5,000,000 range easily.

Heck just take a 4th or 5th round pick for Mantha, And be done with it. No reason to attach a 2nd round pick on him.

for Mantha, yes that is another possible scenario. As for Killorn, he scores. We need scorers. In my opinion, the team won't have a true and full youth movement until they rebuild. They have been slowly adding the youth and that can still continue in other areas. Plus, I'm not thrilled with the idea of trading picks and players, when you can just sign this guy and keep the picks and players.

That's fine. Then the Caps should sign him for 3x5. He will have a few suitors of course and if he signs with a younger, better team then so be it.

Yzerman drafted him, and i could easily see him throwing 3x4.75m or 3x5m at him.
