Quoting: Campabee
That's fine, I don't care what order you have them in or who their partners are all 4 should be in the top 4 with Trudeau and Baudin (or others) making up the 3rd pair
Beaudin's success is dependent on Barron as he had none this season before Barron and none since Barron was called up.
I mean he played amazing on PP with the duo outscoring the entire team to that point in just about a 15-20 games together.
Once Barron went up Beaudin went silent as mouse and while not a liability he's not an asset either if his success is dependent on our top RD prospect holding his hand.
Trudeau is quality though and in 1 year where he shoulda been in Junior but was given permission to play in the AHL as he was on a rebuilding team .
Dudes an overachiever and a quality LD would could fit into any NHL system in a few years in a 4th/5th D role kinda what Savard provided his entire career before MTL.
He's not on Huston's level but he's somewhere in the ballpark of Engstrom and ahead of Struble who is your basical Francis Boullion style D(i say that with Respect )
Mailloux has upside but the reality is Bettman cant let him in the NHL first year he's eligible as much as i'd let him play just to send a message. (people who own it and pay for it earn a 2nd chance period)
But that isnt the reality of the situation but that said i also dont see him in the AHL for 2 years as the Council of Women overseeing his development off ice seem to have a ton of faith in his progress without a single negative word really , just them saying there's still more work and this is an evolution letting the fans know real works actually being done .
But again its so close outside Beaudin that its not really worth debating.
To clarify by close i mean in terms of making it to the NHL as a regular
As far as upside Hutson's a decent amount ahead of all 4 interms of offensive projection
5 years ago i think i woulda called someone a liar if they said we'd be surrounded by this much depth at all levels in our system
