Opening Day Part 1 gives an explanation for this team.

Bowman looks to sign a real RHD instead of trying Rutta, Pokka, Roszival. All of which I don;t see being true NHLers.
Hopefully the Hawks can get Franson on a PTO and then sign him after.
Franson would be a very big pick up to fill that last RHD spot and still log decent minutes. Not sure what kind of deal he would actually get but 2M seems reasonable, maybe high, for someone who has to sign a PTO.

Bowman could try for another forward too if there are any players worth while still available. unlikely though.
If they could sign a solid 3C left in free agency Schmaltz could move to LW on either Kane's line or that 3rd line.

I like adding Franson. Maybe pair him with forsling seabs with kempney. Will q actually play kempney? Can schmaltz play center? I think dauphin will b solid bottom 6 player.

I'd prefer Roman Polák over Franson depending on how well he's been able to heal.
