Description
Thank God Hextal Was Fired.

Jarry was playing injured the entire second half so if we could get him to take a 1 year prove it deal at a pay cut and have a legit backup it could work

If Jarry takes a paycut I'll start playing the lottery. That MIN trade is terrible for the Pens

What team is going to pay him 3.5 after this season??? And maybe I miss estimated Fluery's trade value but its a moral boost, Hallander is no where close to playing in the NHL we had 2 AHL centers ahead of him, and no ones taking DeSmith without retention

Basically every team that doesn't have an elite goalie. I mean be realistic here dude. You're acting like he didn't stop a puck all year and has had a terrible career.

Hallander might not be a starter in the NHL but calling him nowhere near the NHL level is kinda crazy. He's played an NHL game in each of the last 2 seasons and had 33 pts in 43 games in the AHL this past year. MIN would gladly take that trade even without retention. It's terrible for the Pens. You're giving up Hallander and a 3rd to basically pay MAF 4.4mil to be your backup. Just keep Desmith. I get that you want him back because you like him as a person and it would be a cool story, but that's not how you build a winning team

The point about Fluerry is fair but he is more reliable if needed long term in case Jarry gets hurt.

As to Hallander, yea maybe a bit much to give up, but I do think given the Poulin will make the team before him and he dosen't have the style of game to play on a 4th line I think he is a good trade piece.

All in all my first choice would be to offer sheet/trade for the rights of Jeremy Swayman but I don't think we do that and run Jarry back on a pay cut. If Jarry Hadn't said he was hurt second half but played because there was no one else I would not have made this goalie tandem.

I would say our number 1/2 off season targets should be Barbeshev and Graves
