Can't see the Pens doing it but a guy can dream.

As a Sabres fan I wonder if they don’t look to add a veteran like Petry. Can still move the puck a bit, can log big minutes. Can be a solid veteran mentor to guys like Dahlin & Power. Their oldest defenseman is 29 (Lybushkin) and hasn’t had a ton of games played in the league where he’s a big presence in the room.
Also with 2yr remaining his $6M cap hit fits in Buffalo’s window.

Not sure of Pickering’s value, and depends on lottery obviously. Maybe 2024 1st and Pickering?

Veteran experience is so overblown. They need a guy who can fit the system they play and thats not petry. They play a rush intensive back and forth style of game. Petry probably gets hurt playing here.
