Description
This is going off of tips another Bruins fan has given following a coaches press conference, that I have not seen.

This is just my guess to how both teams can get something good out of this. In this mock Spooner is their 3rd C, With Sutter riding backseat at 4th line C. Granlund and Gagner play wing. Horvat C's the top line with Sedin the 2nd line.

If we really have to we can take on Dorsett for one of McQuaid or Miller. That would give them defensive depth.

They've got Edler / Stecher Del Zotto / Tanev Juolevi / Gudbranson Remainder Wiercioch and Biega.

Oh and I have Beleskey in the inferior role to Vatrano, just because I think he's better suited to a 4th line role than Vatrano.

This is just what I've heard mixing in some of my own thoughts as well.

Trades
BOS
  1. Hutton, Ben
Additional Details:
The Bruins pony up to get Hutton, who becomes expendable after Juolevi makes the team.
VAN
  1. Spooner, Ryan
  2. Subban, Malcolm
  3. 2018 4th round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Everyone thinks Subban is terrible, but he put up much better #'s than Demko this year. He is 2 years older, but Subban put up much better #'s when they were the same age as well.

If we had to take on Dorsett for Miller, we'd definitely take out the pick.

Don't want Dorsett, we'll keep Miller.
No cap room so that is very dangerous.

Theres no way to incorporate 4 extra skaters on the roster at the same time without injuries, so you should take out the smallest contract, which is Postman's 725K and add that in as cap space as well. Cap room is prorated, so if we went all the way through the season at this amount, by the time the trade deadline came we'd be 1.5M under the cap. Because it's prorated and because the deadline is about 3/4ths the way though the season, we'd be able to add a guy who's making around 6M that year at the deadline. I don't think we're going to go that hard this year anyways, but it would be an option, so we really don't need as much space as you may think.

you can't ever be over the cap, so with $1.5 space how can you sign a guy for $6M???
