Certainly a big if, Arizona has cap but don't like throwing money around. Wouldn't the Coyotes and Vanek be better off, if Coyotes signed Vanek for 3.8m instead of acquiring Beleskey?

But why would Vanek want to play for ARI? He's getting towards the end of his career and probably as little interest playing for a cellar dweller

I like that you're sending Beleskey to a rebuilding team that has plenty of cap space but I think the Yotes would want more of an upgrade in draft picks to take on his salaray. Maybe Beleskey and a third for a fifth or sixth.
