Description
Regardless of what happens in the postseason, teams are starting to figure out that the right side of the Stars blue line is awful after Heiskanen (who has been tasked to play a lot of RD). Stars need a MASSIVE upgrade over Hakanpaa, who is an absolute liability at 5-on-5. Miller is an okay 6/7 defenseman, but he shouldn't be anywhere near the top-4, which is where he's had to play frequently this year because of the lack of options at RD.

Don't pay much attention to the trades. They were more so to see whether or not something like this is even feasible if certain players were no longer on the roster

I like the Severson signing. I also like pairing Lundkvist with Lindell.

That’s pretty good armchair GM’ing.

I really like the fact that you resisted in signing either Dadonov or Domi. We did not had significant offensive problems before the TDL and we need to make space for Bourque and Stankoven, and Wyatt should progress next season.

I don’t see the use to sign Nieto with all the bottom six players already in the organization. That spot will probably go to Tufte or any of the Freddies next year.

Congratulations on that scenario that nailed 156% the weakness of the team.

Tufte or one of the Freddie’s could fill in, but with the Stars losing Faksa & Hakanpää here, they need a guy that has a proven ability to eat a ton of PK minutes. Nieto mitigates some of the loss from the PK units
