I agree with 100% of this. Let's not overreact. I personally don't see extensions for Matthews/Nylander occurring until UFA, but go for it. When will TOR get another chance? The guys that say trade these guys to get value back....thats just a half A$$ tear down. If youre going to tear it down...do it ALL the way. TOR is NEVER getting pieces back that'll align with Tavares window. It'll be futures.

The cap ceiling is a bit off, but irrelevant because you've got the space.

The roster was good enough to go deeper this season. The coach didn't make any adjustments until it was too late. Got lucky vs Tampa and Maurice enjoyed Keefe playing right into their hands until it was too late.

Again 100% agreed. I'd add that I'd like to see the core go to the crease a bit more. It felt like (not facts, but felt) like TOR was trying too much for perfect goals vs greasy goals.

That was the offensive system they used. Get slot shots but not enough crease crashing to get those 2nd opportunities
