Pierre-luc Dubois is a 60 PT player at this point. Kuznetsov averages more points over an 83 Game season for his career and he costs us nothing. Pierre-Lic Dubois will be lucky if he’s the next Ryan Johansen and I don’t want anything to do with either on the Capitals.

All the rumors about PLD and MTL having eyes for each other will make other teams less likely to have interest. They aren't going to want to invest in a trade if they think he is just going to leave them for MTL in a year.

I think they would do Kuzy for PLD straight up but not more unless they had an indication he would sign long term. Huge pass on the Chicago deal, giving up 40oa this year to get worse and not gain much cap space is not worth it at all. I would rather just buy out mantha or play him on the 4th line at that point
