This puts us in about the same cap position this year and hopefully extend WN right away to something palpable. But the MM negotiation next year could be insane. He’s already making 11. What will he want?

For the difference in what we’d pay Bratt, would investing the diff in a 2nd player be better? Probably.

It’s a pretty large gap between Marner and Bratt, likely more than New jersey is willing to give up.

Also it’s likely one or the other of nylander and marner going, can’t see both going

Marner+Nylander would cost more to retain than Bratt+Meier, so the title should probably be "Risking it for the Biscuit".

Bratt is probably getting signed soon anyways. Meier is probably the guy that will cause issues, so trading him for Nylander would probably be doable since Meier is a PWF. If NJ can retain Nylander then they get the better player but they are probably getting a RW that they don't need (sure he can play his offside).
