Pacioretty and Staal both sign team friendly deals as they are looking to win a cup before they retire. Fast resigns as a depth piece, provides a PK, potential net front on PP, very good 5v5. Andersen has proved this playoffs that he is not done yet and comes back for 2 more years. Canes resign Ghost to a 4x4 similar to Jake Gardiner a few years ago in hopes he can run the 2PP and prove offense 5v5. Another cheaper option could be Carson Soucy as a more defensive minded player. Canes would go into free agency looking for a center to play with Turbo and Noesen, such as, Barbashev, Compher, Rodrigues, Toews, etc. Not sure how much those players would cost. Puljujarvi signs a prove it deal or gets traded, he is good defensivly but Canes need to solve their scoring issues. Drury would be a healthy scratch and would come into the lineup as needed. Sign a depth D for around 1mil to flush out the D-Core. That would leave the team with about 3.5 million in Cap Space so we can do what we also do at the deadline and pickup a depth piece while other teams go all in.
